2023 Baird Gives Back Week

This year for our main Baird Cares event, we chose to volunteer our time to another very worthwhile cause, Giving the Basics. This organization based in Kansas City plays a large role in supplying human dignity products to those in need. Many don't realize that simple basics, such as toothpaste and body wash, are not covered by food stamps.

This amazing non-profit is helping shed light on that issue and we were more than excited to be a part of it. The mission of this organization has caught on to cities beyond the Kansas City metro area, and is on track to make a world of difference in the lives of those who need it.

Community involvement has been a part of the Baird's culture since the doors were opened in 1919. We do this through "Baird Cares Day." On Baird Cares Day, employees have the opportunity to to take up to one paid day each year to volunteer in the community.

This Year by the Numbers:

More than 2,500 associates took part in Baird Gives Back week
Together, they donated 7,700 hours (320 days) of time!
Baird was able to directly help 233 non profit organizations
103 different Baird participating locations
